**Therese Sjögran Joins Manchester City as Women's Director of Football** Manchester City has announced the appointment of Therese Sjögran as their new women's director of football. The 47-year-old former Sweden midfielder takes over the role after Nils Nielsen, the previous director, departed in June. Sjögran, who earned 214 caps for Sweden during her playing career, will oversee recruitment across the women's and girls' pathways, as well as focus on the development of coaches and players. She is set to officially start her new position on December 1 and will report directly to managing director Charlotte O’Neill. Sjögran previously held a similar role at Rosengård, where she made significant contributions to the club's success. Her extensive experience and reputation in women's football make her a valuable addition to Manchester City as they aim to strengthen their position in the Women’s Super League.
