Manchester United has reached an agreement to appoint Rúben Amorim as their new head coach, with the 39-year-old set to join from Sporting on a contract that runs until 2027. However, he will officially take charge of the team during the international break in November. The club will pay a release fee of €10 million (£8.3 million) to secure Amorim's services, along with an additional €1 million to expedite his departure from Sporting by shortening his 30-day notice period. Until then, Amorim will continue to lead Sporting in their upcoming matches, including a crucial Champions League clash against Manchester City. Amorim's first match in charge of Manchester United is scheduled for November 24, when the team will face Ipswich Town.
