The 39-year-old will be transitioning from his role at Sporting CP, where he achieved notable success, winning two league titles and two league cups during his four seasons in charge. In a statement, Manchester United expressed their excitement about Amorim's arrival, stating, “We are delighted to announce Rúben Amorim as the head coach of the men’s first team, pending work visa requirements.” Amorim has signed a contract that runs until June 2027, with an option for an additional year.
