UK petrol and diesel prices are experiencing their most significant decline of the year, with families now spending approximately £4 less to fill up their vehicles compared to a month ago. According to the RAC's analysis, the average cost of a litre of unleaded petrol in the UK has dropped to just over 136.15p, a decrease of 7p from last month's average of 142.86p. Meanwhile, diesel prices have also fallen, now sitting at nearly 141p per litre, down from just under 148p a month prior. Further reductions in fuel prices are anticipated in the coming weeks.
