Former prosecutor settles defamation lawsuit against Netflix over Central Park Five series

Linda Fairstein, a former Manhattan prosecutor, has reached a settlement with Netflix regarding a defamation lawsuit she filed four years ago. The lawsuit was in response to her portrayal in the streaming service's miniseries about the Central Park Five, a group of Black and Latino teenagers who were wrongfully convicted and later exonerated. Fairstein and Netflix have now resolved the legal dispute.
