Israeli Military Orders 45-Day Closure of Al Jazeera Bureau in West Bank Raid

Israeli military forces conducted a raid on the Al Jazeera bureau in the occupied West Bank on Sunday, issuing a closure order for 45 days. The Qatari broadcaster reported that heavily armed and masked troops entered their office in Ramallah, capturing the incident on live footage. During the raid, an Israeli soldier informed Al Jazeera’s West Bank bureau chief, Walid al-Omari, that a court ruling mandated the temporary closure of the office. The soldier instructed the staff to remove all cameras and vacate the premises immediately. This action follows a previous ban on Al Jazeera's operations within Israel, highlighting ongoing tensions regarding media coverage in the region.
