A new law in Colorado set to take effect in July will ban everyday products that contain harmful "forever chemicals" known as PFAS. These chemicals have been linked to an increased risk of cancer, lower fertility, and developmental delays. The ban will apply to items such as clothes, cookware, menstruation products, dental floss, and ski wax unless they can be made safer. The legislation will prohibit the use of PFAS chemicals in many products starting in 2026.
