Lebanon's caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, has announced plans to meet with donor countries to secure additional humanitarian funding in response to the escalating displacement crisis caused by Israel's ongoing aerial bombardment. As hundreds of thousands of people are forced to flee their homes, Mikati emphasized the challenges of addressing the situation, stating, "We are trying as much as possible to fill the gaps; as I said yesterday, it is not an easy process." He is set to appeal to international donors on Tuesday for financial assistance to support Lebanon through the United Nations.
