An investigation has been initiated following the discovery of a baby seal with spinal injuries on a beach in Victoria. The juvenile sub-Antarctic fur seal was found in critical condition on Lake Bunga Beach, near Lakes Entrance, on September 17 and was subsequently euthanised. Crime Stoppers Victoria announced on Tuesday that the Conservation Regulator is seeking public assistance as they look into the circumstances surrounding the seal's injuries. The case has raised concerns due to the suspicious nature of the seal's condition at the time it was found.
