Spanish authorities have apprehended five individuals accused of defrauding two women out of €325,000 (£271,000) by impersonating Hollywood actor Brad Pitt online. According to a statement from Spain's Guardia Civil police force, the suspects initiated contact with the victims through a fan website dedicated to the Oscar-winning star. They convinced the women that they were engaged in a romantic relationship with Pitt, leading to the substantial financial losses.
