NHS Urges Women to Accept Cervical Screening Invitations

NHS England is urging women to accept invitations for cervical screenings in order to help eradicate the disease by 2040. Recent data shows that one-third of women under 50 are not attending their screenings. Cervical cancer affects about 3,200 women in the UK each year, resulting in 850 deaths. It is the 14th most common cancer among women in the country, with those aged 30 to 34 being at higher risk. It is crucial for women to prioritize their health and attend these screenings to detect any potential issues early on.
