A Spanish court has initiated an investigation into the tragic death of a German woman who was fatally attacked by a shark while sailing off the Canary Islands. The incident occurred on Tuesday, approximately 270 nautical miles (500 km) from the islands. The 30-year-old victim was aboard the UK-flagged catamaran named Dalliance Chichester, situated about 110 miles west of Dakhla, a city in Western Sahara, when the attack took place just before 4 PM local time, as reported by Spain's maritime rescue service, Salvamento MarĂtimo.
