UK consumers seek £382m from salmon producers in price-fixing case

A legal firm in the UK is seeking £382 million from six Norwegian-owned salmon producers over allegations of price fixing. The case, filed at the Competition Appeal Tribunal, claims that British consumers were overcharged for at least four years due to breaches of competition law by the companies involved. The fish firms named in the legal action are Mowi and its subsidiary Mowi Holdings, SalMar, Lerøy, Scottish Sea Farms, and Grieg. The lawsuit alleges that these companies engaged in price fixing, resulting in UK consumers paying more than they should have for salmon.
