The general secretary of the Confederation of African Football (Caf), Véron Mosengo-Omba, is currently under investigation for allegations of fraud, forgery, and mismanagement. Prosecutors have expressed concerns that the case could significantly damage Switzerland's reputation. Mosengo-Omba is accused of making a number of questionable payments to Swiss bank accounts. He is also facing scrutiny from Caf regarding claims of serious misconduct. The allegations were brought to light through a public disclosure from Switzerland's Federal Criminal Court (FCC). Mosengo-Omba has denied all accusations against him.
