Such a development would likely necessitate the evacuation of British and other foreign nationals from Lebanon. Defense sources indicate that if commercial flights were to cease, it would serve as a significant catalyst for initiating an international evacuation by sea. However, they emphasize that an emergency rescue operation is not currently considered urgent.
