“Australian Open Expands ‘Party Court’ Experience with New Cocktail Bar and Entertainment Zone”

The Australian Open is set to enhance its court-side hospitality experience in 2025, introducing a new entertainment zone called "the village" adjacent to the practice courts. This development will allow spectators to enjoy cocktails while watching top players during their practice sessions at Melbourne Park. The court-side bar, which debuted this year, has sparked mixed reactions, with some players expressing concerns about the distractions caused by the lively crowd. Despite the controversy, tournament organizers are moving forward with the expansion, which will kick off on January 6. Australian Open CEO Craig Tiley has also indicated that he anticipates the return of popular player Nick Kyrgios to the competition.
