George Russell secured pole position for the Las Vegas Grand Prix with an impressive lap on the city's streets, narrowly edging out Ferrari's Carlos Sainz, who will start in second place. Alpine's Pierre Gasly delivered a strong performance to claim third, while Ferrari's Charles Leclerc will begin the race from fourth. Max Verstappen, who is in contention for his fourth consecutive world championship, will start in fifth, just ahead of Lando Norris in sixth. The qualifying session was highly competitive, with Yuki Tsunoda rounding out the top seven for Red Bull. With the championship battle potentially reaching a climax in Las Vegas, Verstappen holds a 62-point lead over Norris. To clinch the title during Saturday's race, Verstappen needs to maintain a 60-point advantage after the event. Any finish ahead of Norris will secure the championship for him, while Norris must outscore Verstappen by at least three points to keep his title hopes alive heading into the next races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
